My family, a middle-class household with three daughters, faced challenges when I was born. My parents initially did not want me and even considered giving me away if no orphanage was available. However, my mother fought to keep me. This made me wonder—what would my life be like if I had been given away?
With this realization, we founded Nakshatra Srishti Welfare Foundation in Kakinada to support middle-class families, especially women. Our community consists mainly of fishermen, many of whom risk their lives at sea. When they don't return, their families face uncertainty and hardship. Recognizing these struggles, we established this society to empower and assist women in need.
